Legislative News As the legislative session continues, more of our work is on the House floor where we can amend and take final votes on bills. You can see the daily floor schedule here. When a House bill is on "second reader," it is subject to amendment. When a House bill is on "third reader," it is subject to debate and a vote on final passage. As you will see, the calendars are primarily organized by committee. ---- Thanks to WTOP for providing coverage of the Four Second Act legislation I introduced to ensure that red light cameras operate in a fair and transparent matter. You can read the story here. ---- The University of Maryland College Park's newspaper, The Diamondback, ran an editorial in support of my legislation, the Graduate Assistant Collective Bargaining Fairness Act. Campaign News I am pleased to have earned the endorsement of Progressive Maryland, a a statewide nonprofit advocacy organizing promoting social, economic, and racial justice. ---- The District 16 Team (Senator Susan Lee, Delegate Ariana Kelly, and I) have held two of our series of meet and greets so far.
