Marc Korman may well be the biggest winner in Montgomery County’s state legislative races Tuesday night.
The Washington Post endorsee grabbed the third District 16 nomination with 7,300 votes good enough for 22 percent of the vote. Incumbents Del. Ariana Kelly and Del. Bill Frick received 26 and 23 percent of the vote respectively in the down county district to secure spots in the general election.

Exactly one year ago, Marc Korman started knocking on doors in his campaign for one of three District 16 House seats.
That hard work paid off in Tuesday’s Democratic primary, as the Bethesda man won one of the party’s three slots on the November’s general election ballot.
Korman and incumbents Ariana Kelly and C. William Frick came out on top, with challenger Hrant Jamgochian coming in fourth among the eight candidates.
