As an incumbent running for re-election, I proudly spend a lot of time discussing my record over the past four years. But I also appreciate when voters ask me about my plans for the next four years if re-elected. I keep a long list of bills and issues I want to work on next term, but I recently learned of a new opportunity I will have in Annapolis. Earlier this summer, the Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates announced many projected leadership assignments for after the General Election and if I am successfully re-elected, I will serve as Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Personnel. The Subcommittee has jurisdiction over our state workforce and will make me a part of the Appropriations Committee on which I have served for the past four years. I am excited for this new opportunity.
